摘要: The economic feasibility of irrigation requires farm-specific analyses for its assessment. A computer model was developed to simulate the economic consequences of planning and management scenarios for irrigation projects. A modification of Saxton's SPAW model for water budgeting, coupled with a stress day index yield-predictive technique, provides the crop-water-yield framework of the model. Minimum cost irrigation systems were selected in an algorithm requiring the input of manufacturer's data. Overall project profitability is estimated with a cash flow summary.
