摘要: The present research was pioneered to examine the predictive power of academics’ thinking styles for their job satisfaction. A convenient sample of university faculty from four universities (N = 411), of which 310 (75.4%) and 101 (24.5%) were males and females respectively recruited from two public and two private universities in the Republic of Tanzania. On one hand, the thinking styles for academics were measured by the Thinking Styles Inventory-Revised II (TSI-R2) grounded on Sternberg’s theory of mental self-government. On the other hand, the academics’ job satisfaction was measured using Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ-short), derived from Herzberg’s (1987) Two Factor Theory.
