摘要: In Spain, there is a general tendency to conceal the prognosis from terminally ill patient. We conducted grounded-theory-based, phenomenological, qualitative research on this using final sample of 42 in-depth interviews with doctors and nurses different fields. found that most health professionals believe although patients don't ask questions, they know what happening them. Many feel bad when communicating news. hospitals, take responsibility for doing so. The attitudes are influenced by their sense commitment principle patient autonomy, as well level agreement cultural context. tacit silence makes communication impossible: does not professional want be interrogated, family members talk about disease follow example. This situation detrimental families leads suffering, low levels satisfaction, feelings guilt helplessness. Health care must acquire means skills
