摘要: In contrast to earlier observations, recent studies have demonstrated that supratentorial lacunar infarcts in the white matter may cause mild neuropsychological impairments. The origin of these cognitive disturbances is yet unknown. current study proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (H-1 MRS) was used elucidate hypothesized relation between a infarct, metabolic alterations, and function. Patients with single infarct (n=26) were compared patients myocardial (n=12) healthy controls on comprehensive examination, N-acetyl-aspartate/creatine, choline/creatine lactate/creatine ratios. volume interest MRI/MRS examination located normal-appearing centrum semiovale at distance from both ipsilateral contralateral hemisphere. On performed worse than controls. N-acetyl-aspartate/creatine ratio decreased other two groups. More important, this decrease neurometabolites significantly correlated level functioning for hemisphere and, although lesser extent, We conclude symptomatic associated (distant) related reduced capacity.
