摘要: Purpose This paper aims to present a new curing protocol which improves part strength and provides better repeatability for full-part infiltration by varying binder saturation levels. The fully infiltrated parts were then investigated their resistance water. Design/methodology/approach Cylinders spheres generated using various procedures levels subjected uniaxial compression determine the effects on resulting strength. Additionally, cured submerged in water durations water. Parts also weighed prior after submersion any change mass. Findings Increased improved achieved modified with higher oven temperature during curing. Spheres following resulted 300 per cent increase average force required crush spheres. shown have repeatable depths from 8.8 mm 10.1 mm. longer than 12 hours developed reduction strength. Originality/value This study key methods improve demonstrates limitation maximum dimensions of should be considered behave homogeneously. these guidelines can effectively used laboratory engineering applications where high homogeneous behavior is important.
