摘要: Aims To generate an Arabic version of the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire that would be easily understood by speakers and sensitive to culture. Background The nursing workforce in Saudi Arabia is undergoing a process Saudization but there need understand factors will help retain this workforce. Introduction No organizational commitment tools exist are specifically designed for health organizations. An tool could aid speaking employers their employees' perceptions Methods Translation back-translation followed factor analysis (principal components confirmatory analysis) test factorial validity item response theory (Mokken scaling). Results A two-factor structure was obtained comprising Factor 1: Value commitment; 2: stay with acceptable reliability measured internal consistency. Mokken scale including items from both showing hierarchy running organization self. Discussion This study shows OCQ retained established original English-language version. Although two - 'value commitment' 'commitment stay' repudiate developers' single claim. Conclusion useful insight into has been novel addition hierarchical scale. Implications policy now ready used nurses Arab world measure contemporary employees future interventions aimed at increasing retention valuable staff.
