摘要: EXAMPLES of control mutations are rare in eukaryotes. Indeed, the only well-documented examples Aspergillus1,2 and a mutant affecting xanthine dehydrogenase (XDH) activity mapping adjacent to, but separable from, rosy, structural gene for XDH Drosophila melanogaster3,4. Control alcohol (ADH), particularly has recently been studied. In examining ADH selection lines samples from natural populations, line was found to be Adhs have half normal slow-migrating allele. To test hypothesis that low contains mutation, we attempted separate phenotype electrophoretic (structural gene) by recombination. We succeeded doing this, process obtained very accurate position Adh based on its recombination with closely-linked marker loci.
