Subjective satiety and other experiences of a Paleolithic diet compared to a diabetes diet in patients with type 2 diabetes

摘要: We found marked improvement of glycemic control and several cardiovascular risk factors in patients with type 2 diabetes given advice to follow a Paleolithic diet, as compared diet. now report findings on subjective ratings satiety at meal times participants’ other experiences the two diets from same study. In randomized cross-over study, 13 (3 women 10 men), were instructed eat diet based lean meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, root eggs nuts, designed accordance dietary guidelines, during consecutive 3-month periods. parallel four-day weighed food record, participants recorded their rating satiety. Satiety quotients calculated intra-meal quotient change consumed energy or weight drink for that specific meal. All answered three open-ended questions survey following each diet: “What thoughts do you have about this diet?”, “Describe your positive negative diet” “How think has affected health?”. The equally satiated both diets. resulted greater per (p = 0.004), density (p = 0.01) load (p = 0.02). distribution comments did not differ between diets, mostly positive. Among relating recurring topics, there was no difference tastelessness, but trend towards more being satiating improving blood sugar values, significantly loss difficulty adhering A is calorie than diabetes. seen instrumental loss, albeit it difficult adhere to.
