摘要: The aim of this study was to examine the effect adding a total-body exercise program an 8-week diet supplemented with glucomannan on weight loss, body composition, blood parameters, and physical performance in overweight men women. Sedentary women who were (body mass index N25 kg m) (men: 18-57 years, 27.0 ± 11.2 177.5 7.6 cm, 102.4 14.9 kg; women: 18-52 33.4 12.1 160.6 4.6 79.9 9.3 kg) completed 3000 mg combined either no (No-Ex) (10 men, 10 women) or resistance endurance training (Ex) (12 women). emphasized healthy food choices portion size control. consisted 3 weekly sessions approximately 1 hour nonlinear periodized followed by 30 minutes exercise. After intervention, there reductions (P b .05) (men, −2.7 1.4 −3.0 4.0 women, −2.2 1.5 −3.3 No-Ex Ex, respectively), fat −2.3 1.6 −3.9 2.5 −2.6 −3.6 1.1 total cholesterol (TC) −17.9 21.5 −18.8 19.4 dL; −9.3 20.0 −10.1 19.5 low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. Exercise significantly improved high-density (HDLC) (No-Ex, −2.0 4.7 4.5 dL vs 4.4 10.8 3.6 TC/HDL-C ratio, squat bench press 1-repetition maximum, distance covered during shuttle-run test. In addition, appeared augment reduction (by 63% 50%; respectively) waist circumference, but did not affect loss. Addition regimen measures HDL-C, ratio. © 2007 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
