摘要: Abstract The achievements in both preclinical and clinical pain research over the past 4 decades have led to significant progress management. However, still faces enormous challenges there remain many obstacles treatment of pain, particularly chronic pain. Translational needs involve a number important areas including: 1) bridging gap between management; 2) developing objective pain-assessment tools; 3) analyzing current theories mechanisms their relevance pain; 4) exploring new tools for research; 5) coordinating efforts among basic scientists, investigators, pain-medicine practitioners. These issues are discussed this article light translational research. Perspective subjective nature calls innovative approaches. As emerges as an field medicine, it will play unique role improving management through coordinated bidirectional approaches bedside bench.
