Patient literacy and the readability of smoking education literature.

摘要: This study was designed to determine if primary care clinic patients read at a level congruent the reading grade of available smoking literature. Reading estimates education literature (N = 49) ranged from 3 college (median 9.5). skills 258 were estimated by reported years schooling 10), and scores on Wide-Range Achievement Test 6). A serious disparity existed between literacy in our sample.
