摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter presents the studies conducted in laboratory and others on mechanism of action nerve growth factor (NGF), one first such signals to be identified chemically characterized. It focuses current attempts understand NGF at molecular level. Identification chemical that regulate cell maturation is an activity attracts great interest developmental neurobiology. The responses PC 12 cells their variants closely resemble vivo normal embryonic targets; ultimate verification observations lies direct examination early neural crest tissue from which adrenal medullary dorsal root ganglionic sympathetic neurons arise. One promising development cultivation immature ganglia vitro. These or similar experimental systems might useful for extending neoplastic true targets NGF.
