摘要: Abstract This review critically examines the treatment outcome literature using exposure for combat-related Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Although current is quite underdeveloped, available data suggest that superior to wait-list controls and “standard treatment.” In particular, results in decreased symptoms of intrusive images, cognitions, physiological arousal. Treatment gains are maintained as long 6 months. Limitations studies, important procedural variables, patient characteristics, issues measurement highlighted. Finally, efficacy alone a PTSD need addition other behavioral strategies discussed.
