摘要: Abstract Aims To investigate the impact of increasing accumulation 3-deoxyglucosone (3-DG) on glucose regulation in non-diabeteic seniors. Methods This research is a 2-year prospective follow-up study. We conducted HPLC assay to determine plasma 3-DG concentrations 132 non-diabetic retirees Suzhou. An oral tolerance test was carried out 2 years after baseline 16 subjects with continual high and control randomly sampled those normal 3-DG. Results The median level 43.52 ng/ml (7.89–736.09 ng/ml), which 47 (36.6%) were beyond 70 ng/ml. A correlation between age found among people 50 66 old ( r = 0.408, P I 60 /Δ G χ = 7.814, Conclusions There abnormal elevation seniors, 3-DG, mainly resulted from aging, eventually lead impaired regulation, indicating an association senile diabetes.
