摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses new concepts in the chemotherapy of neoplasia. The concept combination chemotherapy, based upon successes treatment acute leukemias, has developed into a major clinical activity solid tumor area. In most cases, these studies are empirical trial with rationale related to combinations between cell cycle specific and non-specific antitumor agents applied simultaneous or sequential manner. some approach is designed develop synchrony so that cells will become more vulnerable effects for enhanced activity. this regard, asparaginase leukemia shown increased success when methotrexate given at 5-10 days, following administration asparaginase. effect synchronizing leukemic population S phase vulnerability coincides administration. If simultaneously asparaginase, synergistic lost action impeded. More importantly, evidence nitrosoureas cause delays G2 supported by apparent improvement therapeutic response they administered drug active phase. Utilization L1210 model dose timing critical may be better than use several drugs.
