摘要: Objective. To test if Mycobacterium tuberculosis screening results differ among patients with inflammatory disease depending on whether the QuantiFeron TB-Gold (QFT) or tuberculin skin (TST) is used; and to evaluate a possible difference influenced by presence of risk factors immunosuppression. Methods. The interferon-γ response in vitro stimulation M. tuberculosis-specific antigens was measured QFT were compared TST. Associations bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccination, factors, immunosuppression analyzed for both tests. Results. TST available 294/302 241/302 patients, respectively; 234 had from Twenty-one (7%) tested positive 45 (19%) A associated infection: i.e., birth upbringing TB-endemic area [risk ratio (RR) = 7.8, 95% CI 1.5–18.2, p Conclusion. study documented high degree discordant results. more closely infection than use corticosteroids affected outcome increasing an inconclusive result decreasing result.
