The Effect of Psycho-Educational Interventions on the Quality of Life of the Family Caregivers of the Patients with Spinal Cord Injury: A Randomized Controlled Trial

摘要: Background: Family caregivers usually report the reduction of their life quality due to one family member’s spinal cord injury. Thus, present study aimed investigate effectiveness psycho-educational interventions on patients with Methods: The randomized controlled trial was conducted 72 who had primary responsibility taking care participants were randomly divided into intervention (n=36) and control groups (n=36). group involved in 90-minute educational sessions held once a week for four weeks. Both completed SF-36 questionnaire before 2 6 weeks after intervention. Then, data analyzed through independent t-test, Chi-square, repeated measures ANOVA. Results: All low lowest mean score related mental health both groups. After intervention, various dimensions improved group’s compared (P<0.05). Conclusion: results revealed positive effect According results, authorities have pay special attention problems this be continuously followed. Trial Registration Number: IRCT2013070811388N2
