摘要: Abstract Iodine plays a decisive role in metabolism and the process of early growth development most organs, especially brain. Effects iodine deficiency include goiter, stillbirth miscarriage, neonatal juvenile thyroid deficiency, dwarfism, mental defects, deaf mutism, spastic weakness paralysis. In this study, application mathematical model (derived from Machaelis-Menten enzyme kinetics) to measured urine samples randomly selected group derived Egyptian village West El-Mawhoub Dakhlah Oasis resulted conclusion that excretion parameters can be used characterize utilization accurately predict level salt iodination required maintain proper physiological functions. The four parameter saturation kinetics analysis indicated 63 mg/kg reduced severity IDD, with 83% studied subjects having urinary levels 1.18 μmol/L. This gives convenient mechanism for providing adequate dietary non-invasive index avoidance IDD. Commercially available was analyzed using standard iodiometric titration methods determine levels. Analysis revealed only 20% commercially complied manufacturer’s label presence large individual variability between batches amounting −95 +150% claimed level. Therefore, requires careful supervision ensure promised are being delivered consumed.
