摘要: Abstract Objective: To compare the effects of rapid maxillary expansion (RME) and surgically assisted (SARME) on dentoalveolar structures following orthodontic treatment, as well stability at 2-year follow-up. Materials Methods: Two groups subjects were used in study. Group 1 consisted 14 (mean age, 12.7 ± 1.4 years) who treated with RME, 2 13 18.5 2.3 SARME. In both groups, all cases had a width deficiency bilateral crossbites. Maxillary dental casts available three different intervals: pretreatment (T1), after treatment (T2), follow-up recall (T3).
