摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter outlines a method for analyzing the optical activity spectra of turbid biological suspensions. It provides brief description theoretical principles and equations relating scattering suspension to intrinsic molecules composing particle, as example measured membrane corresponding solution proteins making up membranes. The shows separation absorption flattening effects, which will be useful in recognizing various contributions well interpretation partially corrected experimental with spectropolarimeter capable collecting scattered light. In addition, practical application relevant illustrative examples suspensions cell membranes is discussed chapter. There are two general types experiments: (a) those where biopolymer structure known an understanding desired (b) only determine particle or learn about macromolecular structure, both cases, functional relation between required.
