摘要: Abstract The circular dichroism and optical rotatory dispersion patterns of biological membranes resemble, in gross aspect, those the α-helix but extrema are red shifted low amplitude. Such not typical for solublized membrane lipoproteins rather exhibited by aggregates proteins (Steim Fleishcher, 1968), as well aggregated polypeptides antibiotics ( Urry Ji, 1968 b ). Since particulate systems exhibit flattened absorption bands Duysens, 1956 ) light scattering, it is interest to experimentally relate changes with these effects. Absorption flattening results a decrease absorbance due effective concentration absorbers, while scattering intensity loss thereby an increase measured phototube. Light also obscuring effect. extent can differ slightly left-handed right-handed circularly polarized light. Thus effects could accentuate distortions ORD CD compared molecularly dispersed samples. Previously has been demonstrated that amplitude type curve be generated from characteristic pattern applying correction factors & In this communication shown shift correlate scattered measured, respectively, at wavelengths where significant does occur corresponding major bands.
