摘要: A novel Cu catalyst film was prepared by oblique angle physical vapour deposition (OAD) on a K-βAl2O3 solid electrolyte (alkaline ionic conductor) for catalytic/electrocatalytic purposes. This technique allowed us to obtain highly porous and electrically conductive electrode which tested in the partial oxidation of methanol (POM) reaction H2 production its catalytic activity situ enhanced via electrochemical promotion catalysis (EPOC). The electropromotional effect reversible reproducible, increase both hydrogen methyl formate rates almost three times under optimal conditions (320 °C, 2.2 × 10−7 mol K+ transferred). observed promotional attributed decrease work function as consequence controlled migration electropositive ions favoured chemisorption electron acceptor molecules (O2) at expense donor ones (CH3OH). Under these formed some kinds potassium surface compounds demonstrated SEM, EDX XPS post-reaction characterization analyses. obtained results demonstrate interest used catalyst-electrode preparation activation non-noble metal films.
