摘要: Since sulphur pollution is carried by the atmosphere over considerable distances it important to have an adequate understanding of those aspects atmosphere's structure which are in this process and know not only mean conditions but also a good feel for statistical variations their significance both wet dry depositions ground. This paper discusses several role starts considering nature mixing layer gives statistics its depth from measurements made at Cardington, England It goes on summarise conclusions reached aircraft sampling-flights North Sea (1971–1975) terms velocity deposition SO2 (0.8cms−1 land, 0.5cms−1 sea) conversion rate sulphate (roughly 1% h−1). The next section considers particular states can lead episodes very high precipitation. Such given formal definition cause geographical distribution western Europe investigated. Two case-studies notable presented tentative conclusion that average state should be used with caution when modelling long-term transport view relative dominance own rather distinctive meteorology. Finally reviews some more meteorology direct bearing require further theoretical experimental study.
