摘要: A correct identification and quantification of the different sources variance in an experimental dataset is utmost importance, for instance, when comparing treatment groups, or case where there a need describing (future) behaviour batch biological products. The total data can be split up into two parts, one due to natural heterogeneity other uncertainty imperfect measurement attribute considered. classical approach include postharvest research use stage which first (non-linear) model built each product individually, whereafter inferences are based on parameters obtained from stage. In this contribution, we propose methodological identify quantify variance, using concept mixed effects models. Such models useful tool handle repeated measures containing high variance. demonstrated practical firmness changes mangoes. It shown that aside differences age mangoes, decay rate also varies among Furthermore, it dominating source during experiment.
