摘要: Abstract Symbiotic bacteroids in the fat-body mycetocytes of cockroaches Byrsotria fumigata, Blaberus craniifer, discoidalis , and Nauphoeta cinerea show metamorphosis at times when metabolic demands on stored lipid glycogen fat body are very high. The classic rod-like form is found large numbers young larvae, ovaries adult females time oocyte development. At later ecdyses both sexes during period development pregnancy increasing observed filled with round, enlarged which lack cell walls. cytoplasmic area these metamorphosed symbionts if concentric layers strands. Various intermediate bacteroid forms seen process losing wall acquiring stranded coats. It suggested that this occurs under control factors from cockroach's corpora cardiaca.
