Motile Ciliary Disorders in Chronic Airway Inflammatory Diseases: Critical Target for Interventions

摘要: Impaired mucociliary clearance has been implicated in chronic upper and lower airway inflammatory diseases (i.e., allergic non-allergic rhinitis, rhinosinusitis with or without nasal polyps asthma). How motile ciliary disorders (impaired ciliogenesis, beating ultrastructural defects) are is not fully understood. Elaboration of the role may serve as therapeutic targets for improving clearance, thereby complementing contemporary disease management. We have summarized manifestations addressed underlying associations diseases. A panel established novel diagnostic tests interventions outlined. Physicians should be vigilant screening disorders, particularly patients co-existing Proper assessment treatment added value to management prevention
