摘要: Background: Serum levels of beta-2 microglobulin (B2M) have been reported as a predictor clinical outcome, prognosis and tumor burden in patients with various types lymphomas. In case lymphoma the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) - type, no clear data exist to define role B2M terms staging or prognosis. retrospective analysis we investigated serum B2M-levels suffering from histologically verified MALT-type correlation stage response treatment. Patients Methods: All admitted our institution since 1996 diagnosis were retrospectively evaluated for procedures measurements levels. work-up including otorhinolaryngologic evaluation, gastroscopy multiple biopsies, endosonography upper GI-tract, enteroclysis, colonoscopy, CT thorax abdomen bone marrow biopsy analysed, while was performed according Ann Arbor system modified by Musshoff. addition, only histologic samples amenable re-assessment reference pathologist included. Results: A total 68 identified records. However, 32 exact inclusion criteria had prior initiation therapy available all these patients. Twenty-five patients; suffered gastric lymphoma, remaining 7 extragastric manifestations. total, 13 out presented I disease, 17 rated II 2 III disease. Nineteen elevated therapy: 6 1, 11 two Five still following treatment despite radiologically complete remission. Conclusion: this series, between levels, outcome apparent While number disseminated disease small could not demonstrate difference II. cannot rule that might be different I/II compared more advanced further investigations are necessary determine marker lymphoma.
