摘要: An agglutination test has been developed for the detection of rabies antibodies after human vaccination. The (RAT) is based on capability specific antibody to agglutinate sensitized polystyrene (or latex) beads. In RAT, latex beads were coated, in a first step, with inactivated and purified virus (PV strain adapted propagated BHK-21 cells) and, second bovine serum albumin. Negative control coated albumin (BSA) only. To antibody, several microliters mixed glass slide an equal volume virus-sensitized mixture was gently agitated. After few minutes, visible sera which had characterized as positive by neutralization (VNAb) technique. No observed negative tested virus-coated or BSA-coated Virus-sensitized agglutinated when neutralizing titres greater than 2.5 international units per ml (IU/ml) sera. concordance between RAT results VNAb about 97% IU/ml taken cut off value determining possibility that clinicians might use simple means determine sero-conversion at end post-exposure treatment patients discussed.
