摘要: BACKGROUND: The main cause of mortality in braziliam population is the cardiovascular disease and arterial hypertension (AH) most prevalent one. antihypertensive treatment effective however it not well known how affects quality life (QOL) patients afterwards. OBJECTIVE: To comparatively assess QOL submitted to an treatment. METHODS: One-hundred with AH were studied which 46 had complied a standard regimen (group A) 54 B control) about start same regimen. We collected clinical sociodemographic data questions focusing sexuality, self-perception QOL, number types medication taken their influence on sex life. questionnaire SF-36 was also administered. analyzed using tests chi-square, Student’s t, Pearson correlation Tukey. RESULTS: No differences detected between group A any domains. There association question domains, emotional aspects excepted. As regards there difference groups, less satisfactory for A. CONCLUSION: When administered no changes groups because asymptomatic chronic disease. did properly our case series hypertensive that high behavior variability.
