摘要: WE DESCRIBE A technique that allows target definition for stereotactic brain biopsy using coordinates calculated on positron emission tomographic (PET) images. In this study, PET images were obtained -labeled fluorodeoxyglucose, a marker glucose metabolism. The difference between PET-calculated and actual of simulated targets is within spatial resolution. Combined computed tomography- PET-guided biopsies performed in 11 patients with tumors. report, we describe two representative who underwent the present technique. Because complementary role tomography, their integration multimodality planning might optimize selection biopsies. Copyright © by Congress Neurological Surgeons.
