摘要: Radiosurgery relies critically on medical imaging modalities. Leksell Gamma Knife (LGK) radiosurgery presents the highest requirements in terms of accuracy as treatment is applied a single high-dose session with no other spatial control than imaging. The advent new modalities opens challenges for LGK planning strategies. integration stereotactic PET represents an example such application modern multimodality radiosurgery. Our experience consists 80 patients treated combination MR/CT and guidance. In order to analyze specific contribution findings, we developed classification reflecting strategy used define target volume. When combining MR information, 102 volumes were defined, because some presented multiple lesions or multifocal tumor areas. Abnormal uptake was found 86% lesions, this information altered significantly MR-defined 73%. conclusion, provides additional opening perspectives brain tumors. use standardized allows assess relative role PET. A similar approach could be useful may serve template evaluation
