Interregional migration is analyzed with respect its responsiveness fluctuations efficiency as spatial labour market allocation mechanism. Using analytical framework, four States the United over period 1958–1975. It shown via time-series model, employing Koyck-distributed lag methodology, that in fact responsive fluctuations. Both employment turnover variables figure prominently this regard. By cross-sectional analysis it also in-migrants do not necessarily come from depressed or low-growth regions.
