摘要: In resin transfer molding (RTM) process, a polymer composite part is fabricated by injecting thermoset into fiber preform placed in closed mold cavity. After the infiltration of empty spaces mold, manufacturing process characterized curing reaction, which an exothermic polymerization phenomenon that cross-links and results solid structure. most cases, cure initiated heating mold. The heat released during reaction can cause temperature gradients composite, leads to residual stresses part. Residual are undesirable as they shrinkage warpage. By controlling walls, one control reduce thermal through this paper, we present methodology based on scaling analysis energy balance equation manage generated minimizes before solidifies. method capability demonstrated with highly reactive polyester infiltrated different types glass preforms rectangular
