摘要: Metabolism of tumor tissue differs from the normal one by intensity protein synthesis and glycolysis. The dimeric pyruvate kinase (PKM2) is a specific enzyme for aim this study was to determine relationship between activity PKM2 type stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A second objective compare expression with disease progression prognosis. We studied 65 patients divided into two groups: 45 20 non-cancer healthy subjects taken as control. serum assessed spectrophotometrically. found that greater, on average, 136 % adenocarcinoma 126 squamous carcinoma compared present in control subjects. higher associated only Stage III (p < 0.001). Sensitivity marker 79 81 specificity 50 both types. conclude NSCLC than level advanced cancer. Nonetheless, low assessment makes it limited utility diagnosis or evaluation progression.
