摘要: Analysis of prey remains found in predator scats is a valuable tool for assessing the distribution and status small mammal populations. As part large-scale dingo research project northern South Australia, 1845 were analysed. A range species identified as expected, though, particular interest, additional records Rattus villosissimus, Notomys fuscus Pseudomys australis obtained. Our R. villosissimus confirm contemporary this north-eastern pastoral zone, while our N. support other recent same area. P. record indicates that an isolated population exists Strzelecki Desert, ∼400km east nearest known population. The these populations unknown, including risk predation to them.
