摘要: Abstract The adsorption and decomposition of water, H 2 18 O, on an 16 O-oxidized W(100) surface have been examined over a wide temperature range (25–700 K) with thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS), low energy ion scattering (LEIS) electron stimulated (ESD), ESD angular distribution (ESDIAD). TDS is used to determine the coverage identify products from oxidized surface, while ESDIAD are monitor chemistry O surface. data show no evidence for diffusion between 25 K 120 K. demonstrates that majority water adsorbed in first monolayer at remains molecular desorbs peak ∼ 155 However, both measurements indicate very small percentage (∼8% monolayer) dissociates upon form OH OH. No stable species above about 350
