摘要: Pharmacogenomics studies the influence of genomics on drug response safety and efficacy. Although research in this field was initiated many years ago, few functional applications are currently use at clinic. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) short noncoding RNAs that bind genes silence their expression. MiRNAs encoded by genome expressed all animal cells. predicted to target approximately half human genes, as a result regulate cellular processes. The current focus pharmacogenomics is identification polymorphisms candidate coding for drug-metabolizing enzymes, transporters targets. Here we call evaluation miRNAs an additional regulatory layer affecting pharmacogenomics. To illustrate potential performed silico miRNA binding regions known affect response. We suggest miR-133 miR-137 may VKORC1 expression while miR-22 MTHFR propose play central role novel metabolism targets, thus should be taken into consideration when conducting pharmacogenomic studies.
