摘要: This study investigates the heavy metal pollution vulnerability of groundwater in coastal aquifers Kalpakkam region state Tamilnadu, India. Integrated-approach includes evaluation indices, principal component analysis (PCA), and correlation matrix (CM) to evaluate intensity source groundwater. The data have been used for calculation index (HPI) degree contamination (Cd). mean levels followed a descending order as: Zn > Ba Fe Al Se Mn Cu Ni Pb Cr Mo As Cd Sb Be. concentrations Fe, Cd, Zn, Se, Ba, Mn, Ni, Pb, some samples exceed maximum admissible concentration (MAC). HPI yield different results despite significant correlations between them. following elemental associations were obtained from PCA CM: Fe–Mn–Ni–Cr–Pb–Cd–Zn–Be–Al, Cu–As, Sb–As, Al–Ba Se–Mo, which could be linked anthropogenic sources (i.e., processes tannery dying industries with contribution landfill leachate municipal sewage). GIS-based factor score maps suggest that activities are pervasive area. has provided evidence effluents discharged auxiliary main high observed may serious public health potential environmental hazard implications.
