摘要: Abstract Previous work showed that each of four human neuronal cell lines expresses less than or equal to 0.5% the HLA-A,B,C and beta 2-microglobulin seen in glial, lymphoid, other types, there is a corresponding weak expression neuroblastoma tumor adult brain. Here, we probe genetic basis this expression. For three lines, show can be induced by interferon induction occurs within every population. Class II (Ia) molecules are not detected. Microscopic assay radioimmunoassay intact cells suggest antigen appears at surface as well cell. Immunoblot analysis confirms proteins have structure class I molecules. Thus, normal HLA these reflect regulatory control rather primary lesion. According current theory, lack should protect transformed, infected, damaged neurons--but also neurons neural transplants--from T-cell-mediated immunosurveillance. The possibility may under importance context.
