摘要: Vitiligo is a disorder of the melanocytes that results in dynamic spectrum skin depigmentation. Its etiology complex and multifactorial, with data supporting several different hypotheses. Given its prominent phenotype, vitiligo has significant negative impact on quality life. Coupled chronic incurable nature disease, this presents formidable treatment challenge. Several modalities have been instituted over years, varying efficacy. This chapter focuses use ultraviolet light as an established therapeutic option.
