摘要: Abstract Alnus nitida (Spach) Endl has been used as a remedy for inflammation-related disorders in the folk medicinal system by inhabitants of northern areas Pakistan. This study deals with phytochemical composition, cytotoxicity, and anti-inflammatory activity various extracts A. nitida. The composition was established measuring total phenolic contents through spectrophotometrically chemical profiling done GC–MS analysis. Cytotoxicity tested against four cancer cell lines (SK-MEL-28, KB, BT-549, SK-OV-3) two noncancerous kidney (LLC-PK1 Vero). hexanes extract showed promising SK-MEL-28, SK-OV-3 LLC-PK1 IC50 values ranging from 13–78 μg/mL hydro-methanol inhibited growth 25–42 μg/mL. hydro-methanol, hexanes, chloroform inhibiting iNOS LPS-induced macrophages 69, 60, 88 µg/mL, respectively. Besides, palmitic acid parthenolide were theoretically docked synthase. Parthenolide higher inhibition affinity (- 6.16 kcal/mol, Ki = 30.63 µM) comparison to control ligand 5.28 kcal/mol, Ki = 135.78 µM). that possess cytotoxic activities, indicating potential candidate discovery novel phytopharmaceutical products industrial applications.
