摘要: In an online information retrieval course taught from a library science perspective, number of methods were used to increase student engagement. Successful tactics include frequent email communication in natural tone, personalized feedback, organized, modular presentation the material, latitude for choice assignments, and use multimedia. The engagement potential discussion boards was not as successfully. discussions are reinforced by references appropriate literature feedback class surveys. chapter includes lessons learned plans future work.
