摘要: Pharmacologists have been searching for new anxiolytic drugs that are fast acting and free from the unwanted side effects associated with traditional benzodiazepines through two major approaches. The first approach entails discovery of compounds act as partial agonists at benzodiazepine receptors, which, in turn, linked to GAB A-A receptors. second is based on recent experimental findings demonstrate role multiple additional neurotransmitters neuropeptides neurobiology anxiety. This article provides an overview developments both these approaches offers a glimpse potential therapies.
