摘要: Dorsal root ganglion (DRG) sensory neurons transmit all somatosensory information from the trunk region of body. erbb3 mutant zebrafish do not form DRG because neural crest cells that generate them migrate aberrantly. Here we report homozygous mutants appear to swim and feed normally, they survive through adulthood, despite never forming neurons. The source compensation in adult remains unknown, although it may be lateral line neuromasts which are reduced, but present, mutants. We also provide new about development wild-type juvenile zebrafish.
