摘要: Primordial germ cells are the progenitor that give rise to gametes. In some animals, germline is induced by zygotic transcription factors, whereas in others, primordial cell specification occurs via inheritance of maternally provided gene products known as plasm. Once specified, animals must acquire motility and migrate gonad order survive. all examined, perinuclear structures called granules form within cells. This review focuses on recent studies, conducted several groups using diverse systems, from invertebrates vertebrates, which have mechanistic insight into molecular regulation migration.
