Synthesis of a novel hydantoin-containing silane and its effect on the tracking and bacteria resistance of addition-cure liquid silicone rubber

摘要: Abstract A novel hydantoin-containing silane, [3-(5,5-dimethylhydantoinurethano) propyl] ethoxyallyloxysilane (DMHURPAS), was synthesized and the structure characterized by FTIR 1 H NMR. The effect of DMHURPAS investigated on anti-tracking antibacterial properties addition-cure liquid silicone rubber (ALSR) after surface chlorination. It found that ALSR containing only 1.5 phr passed 1A 4.5 kV level erosion mass decreased from 0.843 g to 0.037 g. thermal stability significantly improved mechanical were also enhanced. From thermogravimetry-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (TG-FTIR), ALSR/DMHURPAS showed significant decrease carbonyl compounds cyclic oligomers but increase CH 4 CO 2 during degradation, indicating could inhibit oxidation methyl groups unzipping reaction, promote cleavage in ALSR. rates 2.0 phr against Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus 95.7% 83.4%, respectively.
