摘要: Summary Purpose: This study was performed to clarify the relationship between prolonged depression of electroencephalography (EEG) in term and near-term infants with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) later development West syndrome (WS). Methods: We investigated 17 HIE. Inclusion criteria were as follows: ≥35 weeks gestation, clinical signs HIE, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) lesions corresponding assessment outcome at >18 months age, EEG, serial EEG examinations. The divided into following two groups: Group A (n = 4) over 21 days group B (n = 13) disappearance by age. Results: WS developed all four A, but only one 13 B. occurred significantly more frequently than For prediction subsequent WS, age showed sensitivity 0.80 specificity 1.0. In both groups, abnormal irregular faster waves or without seen 11 2 28 days age. They had no significant related an adverse developmental outcome. Conclusions: Prolonged HIE is a valuable predictor WS.
