摘要: Lynx acceptance in NE Poland, Lithuania, and Estonia was assessed by using a questionnaire survey. Regions under assessment differed lynx numbers, population dynamics, protection status. We examined if public opinion related to the species conservation status size. In northern part of investigated territory, respondents were most realistic as knowledge presence region they accepted better lynxes close their home. southern part, more positive about number increase; north, maintaining current numbers preferred. The importance wilderness for increasing southwards. Thus, south-north gradient on followed situation.
