摘要: Hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid) is normally rapidly cleared from the circulation by endothelial cells in liver sinuoids, which make up part of reticulo-endothelial system (RES). An impaired RES function severe infection and sepsis might therefore lead to elevated hyaluronan plasma levels. Thus, concentrations were analysed 44 patients with at onset disease twice during following 2-3 days. The divided respect severity disease; no septic shock (n = 29), group 1), survivors 7, 2), non-survivors 8, 3). Patients 1 showed significantly higher values on day (p less than 0.05) compared controls. There was significant difference two sampling occasions. (groups 2 3) both controls 0.001) without (group 1, p all three Non-survivors had 0.01-0.05). Septic shock, especially fatal thus appears be associated concentrations. Possible mechanisms an increased release polysaccharide interstitial space bloodstream, or a decreased rate clearance cells. This question demands further study.
