摘要: Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are chemical molecules with one unpaired electron and mostly derived from molecular oxygen. It is produced in all the mammalian system by various exogenous endogenous sources. Mitochondria major sources of ROS production they as a respiratory by-product. The main sites superoxide radical chain complexes III I; however, other mitochondrial enzymes also involved ROS. Because presence electron, highly reactive, it may cause oxidative damage to biomolecules cell organelles hence affect cellular physiology their survivability.
